WordSecretary English is an electronic dictionary for Windows and Mac OS X. The program combines spell-checking and synonym searching with a modern fault-tolerant user interface. WordSecretary was developed for two target groups: The professional writer, who often needs synonyms (authors, journalists, blogger etc.) and the normal user, who needs a spell aid, that doesn't require accurate typing. The user doesn't have to know the correct spelling of a word to find it. Spelling mistakes are ignored. In most cases it is sufficient to type the word like it is spoken. For example the search for "fylosofi" is instantly directing to the correct spelling "philosophy". With just one mouse click WordSecretary searches several online services and search engines for more information. Available dictionaries: English (160.000 words), German (150.000 words), supplemented by the system dictionary (Mac OS X only) and an online thesaurus. Content: Part of speech, base form, pontential contexts, synonyms, possible continuations and similar sounding vocables. User interface and manual: English and German.
