WordSecretary Deutsch ist ein elektronisches Wörterbuch für Windows und Mac OS X.
Das Programm ermöglicht eine Rechtschreibkorrektur und Synonymsuche mit Hilfe einer modernen fehlertoleranten Benutzeroberfläche.
WordSecretary wurde für zwei Zielgruppen entwickelt: Für Anwender, die viel schreiben und oft nach sinnverwandten Wörtern suchen (Autoren, Redakteure, Blogger etc.) und für Benutzer, die eine Rechtschreibhilfe benötigen, die nicht voraussetzt, dass sie das Wort bereits richtig eingeben können.
Der Benutzer muss die genaue Schreibweise des gesuchten Wortes nicht kennen. Rechtschreibfehler werden ignoriert. In den meisten Fällen reicht es sogar, wenn der Anwender das Wort in Lautsprache aufschreiben kann. Zum Beispiel führt eine Suche nach "Vilosofi" sofort zu dem gesuchten Begriff "Philosophie".
Mit einem Mausklick können umfangreiche Internet-Datenbanken und Suchmaschinen befragt werden.
Erhältliche Wörterbücher: Deutsch (150.000 Wörter), Englisch (160.000 Wörter), ergänzt durch das System-Wörterbuch (nur Mac OS X) und einen Online-Wortschatz.
Inhalt: Grundform, Wortart, Sachgebiete, sinnverwandte Wörter und Synonyme, mögliche Fortschreibungen und ähnlich klingende Worte.
Programmbedienung und Anleitung: Deutsch und Englisch.
